Armortek Belt Slot Holster
Galco first started experimenting with thermoplastic holsters in the mid 70's. They found that kydex, a thermoplastic first developed for wall coverings, and widely used in other fields, simply did
not make into a good holster! Exposure to direct sunlight, heat and freezing temperatures all took their toll, and often resulted in cracking or warping of the holster. Despite all its faults, kydex is to this
day still used as a holster material by a small number of custom makers and some larger manufacturers. Twenty years of subsequent experimentation and major improvements in thermoplastics has yielded ARMORTEK, a
custom-mix of glass-filled nylon and elastomers made for Galco International, Inc.—our answer to the kydex holster of yesterday. ARMORTEK can be formed into a holster that meets Galco's rigorous standards
for quality and durability, and stands up to the elements as well as to all the normal abuse of full-time law enforcement use. Simply put, it is an inexpensive, almost maintenance-free and water-friendly holster
that can be easily disinfected if contaminated.
ADJUSTING PADDLE for ANGLE OF CARRY The paddle on your ARMORTEK holster is attached by screws and posts, which may be installed in different positions to enable paddle carry in three different
angles:
ADJUSTING PADDLE for BELT WIDTH The spur on the holster-side of the paddle can be installed to provide a firm grip on belts of 1¼", 1½", and 1 ¾" widths.
ARMORTEK ACCESSORIES The Belt Channel will fit all Galco ARMORTEK holsters, and may be purchased separately to enhance the versatility of your holster system.
The ARMORTEK BELT CHANNEL Is contoured to the curve of the hip, and includes shims that enable snug fit to belt widths of 1¼", 1½" and 1¾".
